We loved our time at Colombage, the perfect place to relax (as much as our one year old son Oliver would let us) He loved the garden and all the toys and enjoyed the warm pool. A great base for days out to Mont St. Michel. The D Day beaches and lovely local villages. We particularly enjoyed Avranches with the botanical gardens - great for the little one. What a wonderful stay at Colombage, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The perfect gite in the most beautiful and tranquil setting and so well equipped. Neil and Christine were the perfect hosts and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. It was our first family holiday with our 9 month old baby girl and she loved every minute of it, but we think the pool was her firm favourite. Swimming 5 days out of the 7 certainly got her excited. A great base to see the local countryside, Mont St. Michel (fine with baby in a carrier). The zoo and Fougeres castle. Thank you for making our first holiday as a family so special. A little slice of heaven - a wonderful stay. Fanastic hosts, a beautiful gite, a really homely feel. All the little touches make this feel like a home rather than a holiday home. The pool is marvellous and very welcome in the hot weather we experienced. Beautiful location - great for exploring Normany. Lovely stay at Colombage. Kids loved their evening nature walks, especially the family of otters just down the hill. Red squirrels and 'Gilbert' the local bird of prey. If visiting Mont St. Michel take Neil and Christines advice and arrive before 9 am. We arrived at 9.30 and it was probably too late for a family with young children.. long queues for the abbey and crowded narrow streets. Well worth a visit though. Dinard and St. Malo are beautfiul, stunning buildings, elegant shops, nice restaurants. Carolles beach had everything we needed and great rock pools for the kids. Hours of fun with the croquet after we learnt the rules. Thanks to Neil and Christine for a great stay. We would love to return for longer. John, Angela, Hamish, Kip and Elizabeth. August 2013

Arrived 26th July to a lovely welcome from Neil and Christine and a wonderful cottage called Stone House. We have been to quite a few places, Festyland - good for kids up to about 12/13 yrs. Mont St. Michel is well worth a visit and Alligator Bay near the bottom is an enjoyable diversion. Villedieu les Poeles is a really nice town. The Bayeaux Tapestry and Memorial Museum are a must. Lots of lovely villages around. Good Pizzeria in Brecey. A great time had by all. The girls (2 x 13 years old) didn't want to leave and neither did we. Thank you Neil and Christine for an enjoyable week in Stone House. We spent the days touring Normandy, and got a real taste of the French culture. On Sat. the day we arrived we got the train from Villedieu les Poeles to Paris! A fantastic trip, one which we would definitely recommend. The zoo was definitely worth it, you are allowed to pet the animals! We also made a trip to St. Hilaire de Harcouet - a great market. The Bayeux Tapestry was really fascinating and the town itself was nice to go around. The cathedral there is a must see.

The house (gite) and gardens are immaculate and Peter & Jenny are great hosts. The beach at Carolles is as good a beach as we have ever come across.
